THE COLOR RED

Red is the color of blood, rubies and strawberries. Next to orange at the end of the visible spectrum of light, red is commonly associated with danger, sacrifice, passion, fire, beauty, blood, anger, socialism and communism, and in China and many other cultures, with happiness.

The color red is a warm and positive color associated with our most physical needs and our will to survive. It exudes a strong and powerful masculine energy.

Red is energizing. It excites the emotions and motivates us to take action.

It signifies a pioneering spirit and leadership qualities, promoting ambition and determination. It is also strong-willed and can give confidence to those who are shy or lacking in will power.

Red is my favourite colour…

I am really loving men wearing nice shoes without socks. I think the Italian can do this better than anyone else but you know, the rest of the world is getting there. come on men – it’s summer time, get some nice shoes and wear them without socks! What do you think?

Here are some ideas…

STONE WALLS

In one of my previous Posts I showed some pictures of interiors with ‘Brick Walls’. I love the twist and effect they bring into a room. Surfing around I found out that Stone Walls do the same job or maybe even better. They give a room a rustic touch but in a very classy way and guess they are the more expensive alternative. Beautiful!

BALCONIES

It’s Summer! Even if we (in England or northern Europe) are not really having one, it’s time to be outside. Spend your free time outdoors. If you have a Balcony her are some ideas of what you could do to make it look really nice. You can style it cosy with big chairs and lots of colourful cushions or really stylish by using just 2 or 3 colours in everything, for example planting just white flowers etc. Have a look!

Fasting is primarily an act of willing abstention from all food, drink, or both, for a period of time.

Complications: Health complications associated with fast-induced starvation include electrolyte imbalances, thinning hair, lanugo, cardiac arrhythmia and renal failure.

I have been fasting for quite a while now – but I do only food fasting and drink plenty of water and herbal teas – I’ve been doing my fasting period once every year for 7 to 10 days.

This year I decided to do it every 3 months and next week will be time to fast again. I thought there might be people out there interested in how it works and how it feels, so I am going to do a short diary about my next fasting. Why do I fast? because I learn to feel and know my body again. I like the feeling of being in control of my hunger/cravings. It builds up self discipline and most important the benefit of detoxing, cleansing your organs, your body and yes, you loose weight, which is (almost) always a good thing.

Coming Sunday will be Preparation Day. Yay!

This is what I call the perfect combination. I personally think that the choice of Flooring is fundamental to the appearance and atmosphere of a room. These are some perfect combinations of Flooring and Furniture or Flooring and Decoration Elements.

Here, I think, the warm and intense colour of the wooden floor and the black or dark colour of some of the furniture with the white pieces. Beautiful!

I love this kids bedroom. Everything is kept simple and light without the typical children’s bits and pieces but it is still a kids room, a very nice one.

Design

This bookshelf was created by The Dutch design studio, Atelier 010. Wow, I really like it.
If you have the space and nothing is around it a simple wall with a bookshelf can look amazingly stylish.

Great Architecture

Another wonderful piece of Architecture where nature plays the main role. It might look a bit cold/cool and not everyone’s taste but one must say it is stylish!
