Scandinavian Bedrooms.

I am a fan of scandinavian Design, style and taste. They are similar to the japanese very minimalistic and I love it. They manage to decorate their houses and apartments very light, bright simple but still cosy. I guess their main or basic colour is white which they combine with one or many different bright colours. Here are some examples of beautiful scandinavian bedrooms.

DESIGNER LIGHTING.

I am really not a fan of shopping lamps. I find it too difficult, boring and annoying to look for lamps that I like. Now I know why, I have to spend lots of money and go to the right lighting shops to find easily cool, modern and stylish lamps and get exciting about the purchase. Have a look at these examples I found surfing around! Let there be light!

There are many, many different types of Flower Arrangements. Some people like it colourful, some like it simple, others like it natural… It is amazing how much they can bring into a room and its decoration and that is not only the life they bring to it. Have a look at some of the examples I found in the Net and see what kind of Flowers and Arrangements you prefer.

STONE WALLS

In one of my previous Posts I showed some pictures of interiors with ‘Brick Walls’. I love the twist and effect they bring into a room. Surfing around I found out that Stone Walls do the same job or maybe even better. They give a room a rustic touch but in a very classy way and guess they are the more expensive alternative. Beautiful!

This is what I call the perfect combination. I personally think that the choice of Flooring is fundamental to the appearance and atmosphere of a room. These are some perfect combinations of Flooring and Furniture or Flooring and Decoration Elements.

Here, I think, the warm and intense colour of the wooden floor and the black or dark colour of some of the furniture with the white pieces. Beautiful!

Even it is just an utility room it’s fresh and stylish.

I love this kids bedroom. Everything is kept simple and light without the typical children’s bits and pieces but it is still a kids room, a very nice one.

It’s all about the colours.

Here are some examples what the different colour or colour combination can bring into a room. I found surprising that just one wall can have such an effect on the room. It makes it so much more interesting, modern and special.

If I could I would paint every room of my house in a different colour…..

WHITE WOODEN FLOORING

Especially in smaller rooms WHITE is the colour. I love white wooden floors, it brightens up the whole room and neutralises the background. I would describe it as a blank canvas, you can change the colours and charakter of a room very easily. If white predominates the room will appear bigger. Excellent!

Swedish Style.

I found these pictures surfing around looking for Swedish Interior Design ideas. There are all interiors of houses and apartments in Sweden. I like the swedish style because they keep it simple but cool, cosy and stylish at the same time.

Isn’t it great the the visual impact a simple brick wall can bring? I want one…

Interior Design

Here is a design that inspires tranquility and comfort. The mood rocking bed was designed by Joe Manus from Shiner International and is suited for both indoors and outdoors…. fancy rocking that!

This bookshelf was created by The Dutch design studio, Atelier 010. Wow, I really like it.
If you have the space and nothing is around it a simple wall with a bookshelf can look amazingly stylish.

Great Architecture

Another wonderful piece of Architecture where nature plays the main role. It might look a bit cold/cool and not everyone’s taste but one must say it is stylish!
